Assent is an immersive 3d platformer about progress. In it, you are navigating a very dark environment built entirely of staircasese. The only light source, the thing that allows you see in the dark environment, are the stars falling down the staircases, which will knock you off the staircases if you are not careful. The thing that allows you to progress is the same thing that is trying to halt your progress. Our goal was to leaverage that core tension to talk about what progress is, in a historical context.
