Hourglass is a prototype for an experimental survival adventure game that explores indentured servitude and representations of labor.
Built in Unity3d, it explores the way control (e.g. unreliable controls) affect the way the player’s relationship to her avatar. We were also investigating issues around designing for extended timescale experiences. How does a players experience of a virtual space change over the course of a play experience which lasts days or weeks rather than just hours.
