MetaMetamorphosis

Role(s): Design, Development, Art Direction, Project Managment

“Metametamorphosis” is a stripped-down, minimalist gesture that calls attention to both the platform and medium by removing visual and somatic noise from the user’s field of experience, allowing them sufficient space to reflect on the materials around them. The piece is as much about the shapes and forms of the words themselves, their positioning and size and color, as it is about the story itself; as with concrete poetry, the materiality of the work is integral to the meaning that it generates. Too, we chose to remix a well-known piece of surrealist, existentialist literature in an effort to connect to, and update, the source material’s phenomenological concerns.
